CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS (“Official Rules”)

VOID ELSEWHERE AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED. DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST IF YOU DO NOT FALL WITHIN THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AS SET FORTH BELOW. BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST, ENTRANTS AGREE TO ABIDE BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES. THE DECISIONS OF THE SPONSOR WITH RESPECT TO ALL ASPECTS OF THE CONTEST (DEFINED BELOW) ARE FINAL. 1. SPONSOR & CONTEST PERIOD: The SkipTheDishes Order. Shoot. Win. Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by SkipTheDishes Restaurant Services Inc. (the “Sponsor”). The Contest begins at 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on October 10, 2023 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on December 3, 2023 (the “Contest Period”).
2. ELIGIBILITY: To enter and be eligible to win, an entrant must be a legal resident of Canada who at time of entry has reached the age of majority or older in the province/territory in which he/she resides. Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household of such persons, whether related or not) of the Sponsor, the NHL Entities (as defined below), their affiliates, representatives, agents, advertising or promotional agencies, and the independent contest organization are not eligible to enter the Contest. For these Official Rules, "immediate family" means mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter and spouse, including common law spouse, regardless of where they reside.
3. HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST: Upon entering the Contest website (the “Contest Website”) (see Rule 4 on how to receive a Unique Link (as defined below) with or without purchase to enter the Contest), complete the entry form (the “Entry Form”) with your first and last name and a valid email address. Next, confirm that you are age of majority or older and that you have read and accept these Official Rules. Upon doing so, select one (1) of three (3) pucks to reveal if you have won a Prize (as defined below) or not. If a prize is revealed, you will be deemed a potential winner of a Prize. If you are deemed a potential winner of a Prize, a notification will appear describing the Prize you are eligible to receive (the “Congratulations Notification”) (the Prizes are set out in Rule 6 below) and you will need to correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question, without assistance of any kind, to be confirmed a winner and awarded the Prize. If you have been selected for a Prize, but you do not correctly answer the mathematical skill testing question in the allotted time given, you will not be confirmed a winner and the Prize will go un-awarded. If you are not deemed a potential winner of a Prize, a “Sorry, you didn’t win this one.” notification (the “Sorry Notification”) will appear on screen informing you that you are not a potential winner of a Prize. The potential winner of Prize 1 (see Rule 6) will also be required to complete a Release Form (see Rule 7i) to be awarded their Prize. If you are a potential winner of Prize 2 (see Rule 6) a screen will pop up requiring you to enter your full mailing address (including postal code), and daytime telephone number (including area code). Entries must be received on or before 11:59:59 PM ET on December 3, 2023 (the “Contest Closing Date”).
By clicking “Take Your Shot” you are confirming compliance with the Official Rules, and if selected for a Prize, acceptance of the Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor, the National Hockey League (the “NHL”, its member clubs, NHL Enterprises, L.P., NHL Enterprises Canada, L.P., NHL Enterprises B.V., NHL Interactive CyberEnterprises, LLC (the foregoing NHL entities collectively, the “NHL Entities”), their affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with a Prize or the Contest.
There are no limits to the number of entries that may be submitted by an entrant during the Contest Period, however each Unique Link may only be used once and only one (1) email account per person may be used. Any person who is found to have entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these Official Rules including but not limited to using multiple email accounts to enter or submitting more than the number of entries permitted by these Official Rules will be, along with all entries submitted by such persons, ineligible and immediately disqualified. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify all such persons from future contests conducted by the Sponsor without further notice. Entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means are prohibited and will be disqualified. The Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, falsified, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled or incomplete entries, which will be void. All entries become the property of the Sponsor upon receipt and none will be returned.
4. HOW TO RECEIVE A UNIQUE LINK: There are two (2) ways to receive a unique link (each, a “Unique Link”) to be eligible to enter the Contest:
i. With Purchase: Between October 10, 2023 and November 30, 2023 (the “Purchase Period”), visit www.skipthedishes.com, log into your SkipTheDishes account (the “Account”) and place an order. If you do not have an Account, click on the “Sign Up” icon and follow the instructions to create an Account. Upon completing your order, you will receive a promotional email (“Promotional Email”) within twenty-four (24) hours of purchase inviting you to enter the Contest. Click on the Unique Link found in the Promotional Email and upon doing so, click “Take Your Shot” to be directed to the Contest Website (see Rule 3).
OR
ii. Without Purchase: Between October 10, 2023 and November 30, 2023 (the “No Purchase Period”), on a plain piece of paper, hand-print your full name, daytime telephone number (including area code) a valid email address, write a minimum fifty (50)-word essay on “Why SkipTheDishes is my favorite food delivery service”, and mail to: The SkipTheDishes Order. Shoot. Win. Contest, c/o VCG PromoRisk, 60 Atlantic Ave, Ste 200, Toronto, Ontario M6K 1X9. Upon receipt, a Unique Link and PIN code will be emailed to the email address provided inviting you to enter the Contest (see Rule 3). Click on the Unique Link found in the email and enter the PIN code in the field provided to be directed to the Contest Website. Requests for a no purchase Unique Link must be received by November 30, 2023. Any requests received after this date will not be eligible. There is no limit on the total number of No Purchase requests during the Contest Period, however only one (1) No Purchase request can be made per external envelope.
5. SEEDING OF INSTANT WIN PRIZES: Two hundred and four thousand, two hundred and fifty-one (204,251) instant win prizes (each a “Prize”) (see Rule 6 for complete Prize descriptions) will be seeded randomly among a total of thirteen million (13,000,000) Unique Links prior to the Contest start date and will be awarded based on a pre-determined, randomly-allocated basis available during the Contest. Odds of winning a Prize at the onset of the Contest are 1 in 64. As Prizes are claimed, the number of Prizes available will be reduced accordingly and the odds of winning may be impacted. It is possible that some Prizes will remain unawarded at the end of the Contest Period.
6. PRIZES: There are two hundred and four thousand, two hundred and fifty-one (204,251) Prizes available to be won as follows:

- Trip for Two (2) to 2024 Rogers NHL® All-Star (approximate retail value (“ARV”) $5,000 CAD). Prize includes:
- Two (2) tickets to 2024 Rogers NHL® All-Star (seat selection at the sole discretion of the Sponsor)
- $3,000 CAD spending money (awarded in the form of a cheque payable to winner as their name appears on the Release Form (see rule 7i).

Costs of everything not stated above as included in the Prize are the responsibility of the Prize winner, and without limiting the generality of this statement, the following costs are the responsibility of the Prize winner: airfare, hotel accommodation, transportation between the winner's residence to the departure airport, all ground transportation in the host city, gratuities, health insurance, travel insurance, excursions, baggage fees, meals, beverages, in-room charges, items of a personal nature. Lost or stolen tickets and travel vouchers will not be replaced. It is strongly recommended that the Prize winner and their traveling companion purchase medical, accident and baggage insurance. The Contest Sponsor is not responsible in this respect.
Or, in lieu of the above, the cash equivalent of the Grand Prize (valued at $5,000.00 CDN), which will be awarded in the form of a cheque payable to winner as their name appears on the Release Form (see Rule 7i).

Prizes must be accepted as awarded without substitution and cannot be transferred, assigned or redeemed for cash. In the event a Prize (or any component thereof) cannot be awarded for any reason, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute another prize (or any component thereof) of equal or greater value, without advanced notice and liability. The Sponsor is not obligated or required to award all two hundred and four thousand, two hundred and fifty-one (204,251) Prizes in circumstances where Prizes remain available for any reason.
*NHLShop.ca Gift Cards (each a “Gift Card”) are subject to terms and conditions (as stated by the issuer), are redeemable online at NHLShop.ca and may only be applied towards future purchases made at NHLShop.ca. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, a Gift Card may not be used as payment on any credit card accounts and may not be redeemed for cash, resold or transferred or gifted to another person (or entity) or exchanged for another Gift Card for any reason (including to be then given to another person or entity). The Gift Card will not be replaced if lost or stolen. In the event the winner makes a purchase from NHLShop.ca whose stated value exceeds the amount remaining on the Gift Card, the winner will be solely responsible for payment of those excess costs above the Gift Card’s remaining value; conversely, if there is an amount remaining on the Gift Card after a given purchase such remaining unused amount may be applied toward future purchases until the applicable Gift Card has been fully used.
** SkipTheDishes Gift Cards (each a “Skip Gift Card”) are subject to terms and conditions (as stated by the issuer), are redeemable online at SkipTheDishes.com and may only be applied towards future purchases made at SkipTheDishes.com. Skip Gift Cards may only be used once and are not redeemable for cash. In the event the winner makes a purchase from SkipTheDishes.com whose stated value exceeds the amount on the Skip Gift Card, the winner will be solely responsible for payment of those excess costs above the Skip Gift Card value. If a winner does not use the full amount of the Skip Gift Card, the remaining value of the Skip Gift Card will be forfeited.
7. DECLARATION OF PRIZE WINNERS AND AWARDING OF PRIZES: To be declared a Prize Winner, a selected entrant’s answer to the mathematical skill-testing question at time of entry must be determined to be correctly answered without assistance of any kind. See Rule 6 for applicable Prize descriptions.
i. Prize 1: Winner will be required to complete and return the Sponsor’s Declaration of Compliance and Release of Liability and Publicity Release Form (the “Release Form”) confirming compliance with the Official Rules, accepting of the Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing Released Parties (see Rule 3) from any liability in connection with the Prize or the Contest. The Release Form will be emailed to the email address provided at time of entry. Upon receipt of the duly-signed Release Form, the cheque will be mailed to the winner within four (4) to six (6) weeks.
ii. Prize 2: Prizes will be mailed to the applicable winner(s) within four (4) to six (6) weeks of receiving the Congratulations Notification and correctly answering the mathematical skill-testing question, to the mailing address provided at time of entering the Contest.
iii. Prizes 3, 4, 5 and 6: Prizes will be emailed to the applicable winner(s) within four (4) to six (6) weeks of receiving the Congratulations Notification and correctly answering the mathematical skill-testing question, to the email address provided at time of entering the Contest.
8. GENERAL: By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor in its sole discretion with respect to all aspects of the Contest, which are final. All entries become the permanent property of the Sponsor upon receipt and none will be returned. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
9. RELEASE: Each entrant hereby releases and agrees to discharge and hold harmless the Sponsor, the Released Parties (see Rule 3) from any and all liability in connection with this Contest, a potential winner’s participation therein and/or the awarding and use/misuse of any Prize or any portion thereof from any claim or liability arising from or related to the participation in this Contest. The Release Parties accept no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the Contest or a Prize. By entering and/or accepting a Prize, each entrant consents to the use of their name, address (city) and/or photograph without further notice or remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor with respect to the Contest.
10. The Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, damaged, misdirected, mutilated, garbled, falsified or destroyed entries or Prize claims and all such entries or Prize claims are void. Entries that have been falsified, tampered with or altered are void. The Sponsor will not be liable for any failure of the Contest Website, does not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. The use of an invalid email address will disqualify the entry. Users spamming the same email address will disqualify the entry. In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
11. The Sponsor reserves the right, with the consent of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (the “Regie”), to terminate or suspend this Contest or to amend the Official Rules at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, the Sponsor reserves the right, with the consent of the Régie, to cancel the Contest. The Releasees shall not be held responsible for any problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest.
12. FOR QUEBEC RESIDENTS ONLY. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest in Québec may be submitted to the Régie for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of the Prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
13. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including, but not limited to point of sale, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English language version and the French version of these Official Rules, the English version shall prevail and govern.
14. Consent to use personal information: The Sponsor respects your right to privacy. The information you provided will only be used for the purpose of administering this Contest and prize fulfillment.
